Evolved Home has been awarded as of April 2011 a full line dealership of the incredible Krell Industries products, including the Evolution Processors and Amplifiers.
Krell Industries, LLC, is the premier manufacturer of high-end audio equipment, featuring award winning amplifiers, preamplifiers, SACD players, DVD players, surround sound processors, digital-to-analog converters, and loudspeakers for serious music lovers and home theater aficionados.
High-end audio is a demanding pursuit; an ongoing quest for excellence in music reproduction that drives equipment manufacturers to strive for the absolute in design and performance. With a keen understanding of this passionate drive, Krell Industries was founded in 1980.
For nearly three decades, Krell has earned a distinguished reputation for engineering innovation and product excellence. The company’s history is replete with product introductions that have deeply impacted the high-end audio industry. The most discriminating audiophiles and product reviewers have consistently recognized Krell components for standard-setting performance. The sheer breadth of Krell amplifiers’ dynamic range capabilities conveys a startling realism that transcends previous designs. Seemingly unlimited frequency response, combined with unerring accuracy and fortitude, extend a tradition that began with the first Krell amplifier; the KSA-100. The KSA-100 was the first high power, high-current, true Class A biased stereo power amplifier available to audiophiles. It was the first Krell product, and its resounding success established Krell as an important new technological contributor to high-end audio.
From the KSA-100 to the present, Krell continually “pushes the envelope” of performance in our search for greater amplifier power. Exploration of new technologies, driven by a never-ending quest to elevate the standard of excellence, has resulted in breakthrough audio designs. Over the years, the Krell line of power amplifiers, including benchmark products such as the KRS-100, KRS-200, and the Audio Standard models, has established a legacy of unparalleled sonic performance.
The Krell product line has diversified, but Krell’s fundamental research into amplifier design and performance remains at the core of the company’s achievements. Every Krell component upholds the legacy, incorporating unique technologies that are the direct result of Krell’s discoveries in audio amplification. They provide unprecedented linearity with the control and accuracy that only comes from superior current capability. The sound is lively and unconstrained, in a manner that evokes live performance and the true sound of instruments. The Krell legacy will continue to evolve with products that deliver innovative engineering, perfection in build quality, and outstanding audio performance.

This client had us put in a nice home theater and control system in their loft. Not long after this was completed, they moved to a new loft. They sold their previous system with their loft, and started fresh at the new place. They loved their original system so much, they had us back out to put in another system and expand on what we had done before. We were able to hide the electronics and help the technology blend into their new environs!
(NOTE – Apps have been discontinued since the release of the new EA series controllers and OS 2.6)
With the release of Control4’s OS2 a couple months ago, the 4Store applications have been a big focus of the company. Not only did the GUI interface of the company’s product become even MORE user friendly (which it was renown for), but it opened up a path for third party developers to add additional functionality to a Control4 system… For example, a new application will check the local forecast to adjust the amount of water a sprinkler system will put out for the day, or energy management applications to automatically adjust your house to keep your consumption low… Many applications exist, and more are appearing daily… Stay tuned for more news for your Evolved Home!
Well, today was a long day of meetings with reps and vendors… we visited several booths, and have found some very promising advancement, particularly in the Energy Management category. Many of these products integrate seamlessly with the Control4 automation system, and some future products in the pipe produced by Control4 show some amazing advancement and forward thinking, which after reviewing some of the same and higher end market competitors, Control4 seems again to be one step ahead in innovation, vision and execution of the future of the Automated HomeEcosystem. Plus, their continual expansion of product partners is firmly placing Control4 once again as the company to watch, while others are scrambling to catch up.
Partnering with Jamie from Media Worx, we’ll be video taping and interviewing vendors and visionaries at this year’s CediaEXPO for posting on the website, and sharing thoughts and scenarios on how these products can help you in creating your own Evolved Home.
Evolved Home will be attending the Cedia EXPO 2010 Audio Video Integration Tradeshow in Atlanta, Georgia. Keep tuned to our site to see particular products, techniques and visions that share Evolved Home’s vision, and how they can assist you in your home! We’ll be performing daily updates, and more frequently as time allows. We may be going behind the scenes with a few product lines to see what is coming down the pipe, and share our overall take on the entire show and experience for the 2010 convention. Stay tuned!
The Apple iPad displays the unreleased Control4 2.0 user interface design. There were concerns in the beginning that, since the upcoming 2.0 user interface for Control4 would be flash based, it would not be compatible with the iPod/iPhone/iPad … but Control4 came through… in a great way! The 2.0 interface pops in crisp brilliance on the iPad screen, and just like the iPod/iPhone interface, is scalable into portrait and landscape orientation depending on how you hold the device.
Well, the new Apple iPad is in the wild and Evolved Home has their hands on one. With the nearly seamless and lightning fast operation of the iPod Touch/iPhone Mobile Navigator license for Control4, we’ve been curious on how the iPad will stack up with it’s large touchscreen.
The upcoming 2.0 software update for Control4 will be a large step forward in functionality and user customization regarding the interface, and the iPad gives you a sneak peek! Stay tuned as we run the iPad through it’s opening paces with Control4 and explore the upcoming 2.0 Control4 software release…

Evolved Home was asked to help with a entrepreneur’s vision… He had a vision, a budget, limited space, and a deadline. Evolved Home assisted with the evolution of this flexible space into a virtual reality cycling studio concept for test marketing. This project had a need for a large projection screen, but a budget that didn’t support a short throw lens projector. Other integration companies had bid on the job, but were unable to provide solutions that fit the budget. The owner was prepared to only incorporate an audio system, and move forward with the video projection system at a later date because of budget concerns. Mark and Kory of Evolved Home wouldn’t have any of that… [Read more…]
